Arbor Presses

Arbor Presses

Use of arbor presses:

Arbor presses are suitable for pressing bearings, bushings, pins, sleeves on and off, as well as with the appropriate tools for light bending, stamping or assembly work. Arbor presses must be attached to a stable work table or base frame before they are put into operation. For the sizes 3A and 3B there is a suitable underframe as an accessory in the program!

Working with arbor presses:

When working on long cylindrical workpieces and shafts, e.g. when pressing on bearings, the slotted disk of the work table must be adapted to the respective workpiece diameter by selecting the appropriate slot width. When working on flat workpieces, the slotted disc should be rotated so that a work surface is created under the ram. With sizes 0, 1, 2 and 3A, the ram must be brought to working height by turning the lever. An ergonomically ideal position of the hand lever can be achieved by placing spacer plates or rings underneath. For size 3B, the hand lever can be adjusted using the ratchet mechanism. To do this, the ram is brought into the correct position by turning the hand wheel. From this position you can then work with the hand lever by using the locking bolt.

Safety instructions:
Use suitable means to secure workpieces against tipping! Watch out for falling parts when squeezing out, wear safety shoes, be careful not to touch the serrations of the plunger. Risk of crushing between the ram and the workpiece. Do not use extension tubes on the lever! Risk of breakage!

Maintenance and Care:

Depending on the amount of work, arbor presses should be regularly lubricated with lubricating oil on the existing oil nipples. Spindles and levers must be protected against corrosion and dirt if they are not used for long periods of time!
